The Thoroughfare File is the level of data used in most Rapid Addressing systems. It provides the perfect combination of data and filesize to generate addresses from postcode and premise details. At BPH, we have developed 2 files from this data - the Street/Postcode Relational Dataset and the Street/Postcode Flat File. The latter being the easier to implement in all applications.

If you wish to try the data, there are downloads to the right of this page. On this site we use a simple "cgi script" into an enhanced version of the Street/Postcode Flat File (contains GIS data, Generic Premise Data & deleted postcodes) to provide the addressing facility for the Postcode Searches and on our Contact Us page. Alternatively, simple SQL or Access macros will enable you to integrate the data into most applications.
